Eventually, the company I drove for went up for sale when the original owner retired — and I bought it. I knew the business inside and out, not from a desk, but from the cab of a truck. Over time, I transitioned the company from a carrier operation into a full-service brokerage, carrying over every lesson from a decade of hands-on experience in the car transportation industry.
